Top UK human rights lawyers Bindmans LLP have agreed in principle to take on our case against the UK government to have the unjust extradition treaty with the USA overturned, but we now need to raise an initial "fighting fund" of between £3000 - £5000 and need to find some benefactors who would like to see this government taken to task.

We as citizens of the UK, democratically elect our government to act on our behalf, and as we have seen in recent months, they are NOT doing this and we need to act now.

Please copy and paste this to everyone you know - below is a copy of the press release sent out yesterday and ignored by every national newspaper as usual.....

PRESS RELEASE - Sunday Nov 30th 2008  1700 hrs.

A Somerset journalist has approached Human Rights law specialist Bindmans Legal in London, to take the current government to court for a breach of civil liberties.

Ross Hemsworth, Managing Director of Glastonbury Broadcasting Ltd, has asked Human Rights specialists Bindmans Solicitors in London to take on the case based on the government's refusal to listen to Early Day Motion 2388 (now signed by almost 100 MP's) calling for an urgent review to the "unfair, unjust and one-sided extradtiion treaty between the UK and the USA".

The journalist who presents a Saturday night TV talk show on Edge Media Television (Sky 200) and various radio shows on Glastonbury Radio says that no British citizen is now protected from calls by the US government for extradition, and the US need prove no guilt or call for any UK trial prior to the extradition! We cannot however, call for a US citizen to be extradited quite so easily! It seems THEIR government protect THEIR citizens!!

Commenting on the proposed law-suit today Mr Hemsworth said "A British passport used to mean something, we could travel anywhere in the world and know that a call to our nearest Embassy would offer us protection as a British citizen. Yet now our government seem to offer no such protection and the signing of this one-sided extradition treaty is a direct breach of our Human Rights and our civil liberties"

Although no decision has been taken by Bindmans as yet, Mr Hemsworth has copied his correspondence to all leading partners on their Human Rights team and to Sir Geoffrey Bindman, founder of the company. He added "We need the BEST legal team available on Human Rights issues and this team seem to be the best - it's up to them whether they believe in the case strongly enough to take it on"

Ross Hemsworth has been extremely vocal in his support of alleged computer hacker Gary McKinnon, who was recently diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome a form of Autism by Professor Simon Baron-Cohen at the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University. Mr Hemsworth is also organising a ROCK AGAINST INJUSTICE CONCERT now planned for around the date of Barack Obama's inauguration on Jan 20th 2009. He hopes this will brng the injustice to the attention of British citzens all over the UK and abroad.
