I am pleased to see that the Daily Mail has started a campaign to stop the extradition of Gary McKinnon, it's about time one of the daily's got behind this case!
Of late, pop stars, senior politicians and journalists have finally supported the campaign and come out backing Gary, and not before time!
Gary was a guest on my Friday night show Now THAT'S Weird some time ago, and since then I have been campaigning on his behalf, because under British law everyone is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. So how can the UK government condone extraditing him to the USA without first proving he is guilty of the charges the USA are putting forward?
If you read the initial charges against Gary when he was arrested (and allegedly told he may get a few weeks community service), and then read the USA's claims of what damage he did some years LATER, you have to ask a few questions about the US's claims in this matter!
This man is no "super-hacker", he is an Aspergers Syndrome sufferer that just wanted to find out the truth about UFO's, but what he allegedly stumbled across when he found his way into the NASA system (which apparently wasn't even properly protected) has obviously infuriated the US authorities as it shows them to have lied about various UFO and "off planet" issues!!!
One of the things Gary found was a document relating to "non-terrestrial officers" serving for the US government!
Gary should NOT be extradited, he should be tried under UK law in the courts closest to his home where the alleged "hack" took place, in line with current UK law.
